Research Initiative

Established in the spring of 2004 in Chicago by Cristian Mitreanu, the research initiative RedefiningStrategy.com was set to go beyond the known approaches to strategy and advance the search for the essence of enduring success in business. Hence, the word combination "redefining strategy!"

The research initiative is based on a broad view of corporate strategy that sees it as the latest materialization of the business community's search for a universal formula for enduring corporate success. According to this perspective, the term "corporate strategy" is misleading, and the concept defined by it is slowly becoming obsolete. This acknowledgement has facilitated an open minded from-scratch approach to research, in which constraints imposed by previous theories were avoided.

Leadership

RedefiningStrategy.com is led by Cristian Mitreanu, who has extensive experience in strategy, marketing, and business development. He is the founder of the initiatives RedefiningStrategy.com (www.redefiningstrategy.com) and BizBigPic (www.bizbigpic.com). He is the author of the book "Spointra and the Secret of Business Success" (www.spointra.com), and currently maintains a blog, Picture001 (www.bizbigpic.com/picture001). Some of his writings have been published by the MIT Sloan Management Review and the American Marketing Association. Cristian holds a Masters degree in Management, and a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems.
